The Ministry of Finance bids farewell to its longest serving Minister. Dr. Osborne served as Minister of Finance for eighteen years. He was a humble, practical man who fostered a good working relationship with his staff at all levels. He was a reservoir of information in a variety of subject areas including shipping, business and the history of politics and politicians. He was skillful in packaging and communicating this information in ways that were interesting, convincing and humorous at times. He was a good storyteller and kept his dreams and aspirations alive in the minds of his constituents like an artist. Someone once said:
“Goodbyes are not forever.
Goodbyes are not the end.
They simply mean we’ll miss you
Until we meet again!”
